This is the kind of pizza joint your parents or older cousins always talk about missing from where they were kids that you can now experience.The spot has a cool, laid back vibe that fits the neighborhood. It's a comfortable place to grab a slice or hang out with friends. The team hustles hard when it gets busy, and you can tell they're trying to do things right.If you're in West Town and craving pizza, I'd say stop by. Definitely worth it.

Pizza was peak per usual. The professor never misses. Also loved the decor! Very well curated and cozy/personal feeling without dropping the color pallet of the spot I’m used to. Can’t wait to stop by and grab a slice again soon!

Had a great visit to Professor pizza slice and pie on Grand Ave. The pizza was amazing and the space was really cool. It’s also BYOB at the moment so that was great for me and my group. Cheers!

Had the best time grabbing a slice on the go!!! The music was cool and the retro theme reminds me of being a kid grabbing a slice after school!! Love a classic pepperoni and cheese slice.

This pizza and pizzeria is an awesome vibe I love the retro feel to it and the variety of pizza you get here is unlike anywhere else. The “white pie” is one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with the pepperoni either! Try it grandma style deluxe with the whipped ricota and hot honey 🔥

Came here mid day last fall while visiting and haven’t had a better tavern style pizza since. Perfect crunch and great service. The aperol spritz hit just right too.

Excellent service from Michael. He helped me navigate an order with a weird delivery time on the toast app. Very professional and made sure I got what was ordered in a timely manner. 10/10!

Pizza is soooo good, love the vibes and highly recommend. I forgot to take a pic of the pizza but it was a recommendation from the homie up front (Pepperoni slice deluxe or something). Music was bopping too, real good vibes. If you want a lowkey spot for a slice or a whole pizza in the area, this is it.

Great place! A little noisy when the crowd rolls in. Pizza selections offer a lot of choices, but you don't get overwhelmed. Staff very nice and VERY knowledgeable about beer selections. Will return!

Killer Detroit-style pizza!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinning experience! We received great service, and both the grandma crust pizza and the hot wings were delicious. We appreciated how fast the food came out, as well as the fresh ingredients. We recommend.

Amazing pizza, we tried the grandma deluxe peperoni and it was super delicius. Such a nice touch of ricotta cheese.

AMAZING cracker crust pizza!!! Went yesterday with friends and we split the Deluxe Sausage & Pepper pizza. It was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It was so good we actually ordered it in today and the cracker crust held up perfectly. We ordered the Vodka Meatball pizza and it was also fantastic. Cannot recommend it enough! I didn’t get pictures either time because it looked too good and had to dig in.

Delicious pizza, no idea how this place only got a 4.2. My wife and I will be coming back for sure.

I came about 4-5pm on a Saturday. Sat at the bar, watched TV n listened to music. Ordered 2 drinks (big and potent but not too much), got my food to go. Deluxe pepperoni, I'll get extra whipped ricotta next time. Enjoyed it all. Food, atmosphere and drinks.

Great vibes and delicious pizza!

Overall one of my favorite pizza places in the city and I really like that this place does by the sliceThe Reuben, which was a specialty was fantastic, but the white pie stole the show. The rosemary was the perfect addition to it and next time will be ordering a whole pie of it. I love the Grandma style crust as you'd think it would be too much crust, but it's not because it's so light. I'd love to see them play with adding some herbs to it and do some pizza's that way. Either way I'll eat whatever they come up with and be happy.Service was fast and easy, granted we were here when it wasn't too busy.Professor Pizza, Milly's, and Piece are my top 3 pizzas in the area.

Just tried Professor Pizza Slice on Grand Ave, and it did not disappoint. We got a cheese and a sausage Grandma pie, and both were excellent. Even with delivery, the crunch was unreal, no soggy slices here. But the real seller? The ranch came in a mini squirt bottle. Genius. Absolutely loved it. And honestly, their menu’s got something for everybody. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

The mozzarella onion rings were so crispy and the house made marinara and vodka sauce is a “must order!” The Sicilian sausage and half pepp pizza was very good. It’s well worth the wait and the leftovers were perfect for the next day. Service was great and the vibe was very welcoming. I highly recommend Professor Pizza!

Professor pizza makes such great food. I’ve been blown away by all the different styles of pizza Anthony and his team have mastered. I personally am obsessed with the grandma style, it reheats so good in an air fryer.

Great service the pizza was amazing. Visited from Michigan and was amazed with the drink knowledge and service offered. 10/10 experience would recommend to anyone who appreciates good pizza and some good cocktails.

Best in the city

I had the sausage and pepper deluxe on a gluten free grandma style crust. It was delicious! The crust was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The toppings were a great medley of different peppers, sausage, ricotta, and red sauce. I am always looking for new pizza places with great gluten free crusts as most of the time they don’t hit the spot when I’m craving pizza.I’ll definitely be back.FYI- They don’t take cash payments.

Wow, definitely the best gluten free pizza I had that thick! Usually gluten free thick crust misses on the crunch but this one was just perfect and super flavorful!

Stumbled upon Professor Pizza on Google after their 2 day grand opening in West Town. We had the Grandma’s pizza and wings. Definitely the real deal, crust was phenomenal, sauce was amazing to top it off. The wings had a perfect touch of Parmesan in the buffalo sauce. A lot of 90’s nostalgia which made the establishment that much better. A lot of heart and soul poured into the place with family pictures and photographic memories with close friends. Hope you become a massive staple here Professor Pizza. 5/5

Professor Pizza was insanely delicious! We had the New York style pizza and it was perfect! Toppings seem fresh and high quality, sauce and crust had nice flavor. Highly recommend!

Tried Professor pizza a couple of years ago when they were serving out of a kitchen but never left a review. From what I vividly recall we loved the pizza and tried more than one kind. The service was out of this world and they made our experience memorable. So much so it became my favorite muse. Happy to see the growth!
